Grumman X-something? I had a Matchbox sized diecast with a similar paint scheme as a kid.
Edit: I’m old and senile. Im thinking of the X29. Had similar paint, but entirely different wings.

S’Okay. I hear they have chocolate, vanilla AND strawberry ice cream because we have been really good! That is ON TOP of the pudding we get!

Yep, X-29 also got a red, white, and blue scheme:

The Air Force had a much more boring scheme on that aircraft:
The 2D vectoring engines do look cool though, more obviously something special than the later 3D engines it was fitted with.

The NF-15B STOL/MTD/ACTIVE , a joint USAF/NASA test - bed for lots of late 70s/early 80s cutting edge tech. It also wore camo for a time.
The plane (as the XF-15F) was featured in Dale Brown‘s Day of the Cheetah .

They look like USB plugs. I bet they assemble them upside down 2/3 of the time.
